CITB Health and Safety Awareness - Watford

The CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) works in partnership with the Sector Skills Council. It is designed to encourage high-quality training and development opportunities within the construction industry, which in turn helps build a safe, professional and fully qualified workforce across the UK.
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provide advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. Not only does it cover your individual responsibilities, it also covers your employers too. This course will provide candidates with the knowledge of what to do should they think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk. This classroom based HSA course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on a site. Upon successful completion of this course you will have certification which is valid for 5 years.
Upon completion of the course, the delegate would then apply for the CITB Health and Safety and Environment touch screen test. They will do this in order to obtain their CSCS green labourers card. The card is used as proof that the person has passed the relevant training. The card shows that they should be able to demonstrate Health and Safety competence.
