How high are you allowed to work?
First of all, it depends on what PASMA course you take. The PASMA Low Level Access training course is intended for users of low-level access equipment that is less than 2.5 metres tall. The PASMA Towers for Users course, on the other hand, is designed for those who are using mobile access towers that are straight up and down, single bay structures with four legs and wheels that can reach heights of 8m outdoors and 12m indoors. So go by what your role demands!
Is having a PASMA certificate a legal requirement?
You might be surprised to find out that having a PASMA certificate is not a legal requirement. What is required by law, however, is a certain level of competence for anyone who works at height. PASMA has grown to become the standard in this regard, and anyone who has completed a course is seen to have the necessary skills to carry out their role safely.
