First aid is an essential skill for anyone, but it is particularly important on a construction site where there is the opportunity for accidents and injuries everywhere. Obviously, our health and safety training is designed to try and offset the chance of these happening, but it is important to know how to react when accidents do happen.
Our first aid training courses in Uxbridge are aimed at providing the practical skills and confidence to deal with emergencies and accidents to provide the best first aid before the arrival of the paramedics or the patient can get to the hospital.

The trainer will be online live on video along with the fellow delegates who can still interact, take part in discussions, quizzes and activities as you would with our classroom-based training. You will be sent a link to join the online learning course and will need to be able to access the internet with a webcam and microphone.
Exams still take place as usual, which you complete online, invigilated by the trainer via the webcam so you will still receive a valid certification.

The course consists of classroom discussion group work and individual or group presentations. Continuous assessments are taken throughout the course and there will be a multiple-choice test at the end to evaluate your knowledge. We also recommend some self-study outside of the course.
Upon competition, you will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate which is valid for five years and recognised by BUILDUK.
CSCS Green Card Certification
Our CSCS green card certification is a one day HSA course that forms one half of your requirements for obtaining a card and is considered the standard training for all operatives on site. Many responsible construction companies will not allow a worker on site until they have completed this certification. Once completed, it is then valid for five years.
Work at Height Courses
Working at height understandably has its risks, which is why it is one of the biggest causes of fatal and serious injuries on site, making it important that anyone working at height is fully trained to operate safely and in compliance with health and safety law.
Our working at height training courses in Uxbridge consist of a selection of half day courses that you can mix and match to create a tailored training day. Face Fit Testing
Our Face Fit Test is aimed at ensuring that those who need to wear respiratory protection equipment (RPE) are wearing the right mask and fit for them to prevent leaks and exposure to harmful fumes. It is a legal requirement that people wearing a tight-fitting mask need to be face fit tested to ensure a complete seal.
As part of the Face Fit Test in Uxbridge, delegates will take a taste test to ensure they can taste the solution and the test is accurate. They will then take the fit test which involves completing a series of exercises to ensure the mask does not move which need to be done until the solution cannot be tasted at all.
It is highly recommended and advised that Face fit testing should be completed every two years and it is advisable that the wearer does not have facial hair as this can compromise the fit of the mask and allow leaks.
Delegates will be also be instructed on how to conduct face fit testing and an understanding of the different masks available. It is also advised that this test and certification should be renewed every two years.
