Emergency First Aid – 1 Day

Our one day emergency first aid at work course is a nationally accredited comprehensive training programme suitable for employees in any sector. It provides essential knowledge for those first few minutes after and accident or medical incident that are the most critical for the patient. Having those skills on hand makes for a safer working environment.

What you can expect from our course

  • Practical application of first aid skills
  • Training in the ability to act safely and effectively when an accident or emergency occurs including informing the emergency services
  • Treatment of an unconscious patient
  • The recognition of cardiac arrest and the delivery of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Understand the requirements of a first aid kit and how to report accidents in the workplace
  • Deal with burns and scalds
  • To recognise and treat fractures
  • Clear an obstructed airway
  • Control severe bleeding
  • Recognise and treat shock
  • First aid skills in the use of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and in the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
