About the MCWPs Operators Training
When you take our MCWPs for Operators Training course, you can expect to learn how to operate a mobile Mast Climbing Work Platform (MCWP). This course will provide you will the full knowledge of the controls of the equipment and ensuring that you are able to carry out pre-use/daily and weekly inspections. Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to perform an emergency descent, will be able to dismantle, move and reinstall (including stability tie) a Mobile MCWP in its original configuration only.
Your training will be delivered by an experienced IPAF instructor, and you will benefit from their on-site expertise as you work your way through this course. At the end of the course, you will have gained a deep understanding of how to operate MCWPs in a safe way.

About the Managers Training?
When you take our MCWPs & Construction Hoists for Managers Training course, you can expect to expand your theoretical knowledge and cover what managers need to know for the safe and effective use of MCWPs and CHs onsite. This includes planning the job and carrying out a risk assessment. It will also delve into choosing the right machine equipment for maximum cost-efficiency and the lowest level of risk.
Your training will be delivered by an experienced IPAF instructor, and you will benefit from their on-site expertise as you work your way through a wide range of scenarios. At the end of the course, you will have gained a deep understanding of how to approach worksite projects using best practice.
Who Is the Managers Course For?
Our MCWPS & Construction Hoists for Managers Training has been put together for employers, project managers, foremen and supervisors who are working in the construction sector and other industries such as facilities management. If you are responsible for planning and overseeing the use of MCWPs or CHs, this is the right training program for you. The course is centred on planning, supervising and managing the use of MCWPs and CHs, not about operating equipment.
After the Course
When you get to the end of the course, you’ll take a theory test in both the Operators and Managers training course and an additional practical test on the Operators Course. If you pass this, you’ll gain an IPAF certificate. If you already hold a valid Powered Access Licence (PAL Card) for operating equipment, the MCWPs & CHs for Managers (MHM) category will simply be added to this.
